On display to all in the windows, poised expressions of elitism, positions steadfast; the first to wear the season’s looks, they stand tall and proud. Showcasing “fashion bodies” from Proportions, a globally recognized mannequin manufacturer based in London, director Patricia Vilani explores the creation of these sublime figures representing the ideal human body.  Working with world-renown fashion designers and illustrators, Proportion’s fashion bodies have been used in the windows of some of our favorite British brands including Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, Liberty London, and Mulberry. Of mixed Japanese-Italian parentage, Vilani is an emerging filmmaker and producer specializing in work for fashion designers, brands, and music videos.  She debuted at LFW S/S 2011 with the screening of her award-winning film Four Seasons of Love, showcasing the designs of Hermione De Paula in a project headed by Imagine Fashion with the support of the London Fashion Council and Liberty London. Describing herself as a “fashion lover,” Vilani’s appreciation for fashion houses and designs is matched with her curiosity on the perceptions of the fashion industry.
